Interview on Early Childhood Obesity

Mike Bellamy and CHDI’s Abby Alter recently discussed early childhood obesity, and how Connecticut compares to other states, on station WICC600. This discussion follows the publication of a CHDI issue brief to which Alter contributed, titled “Ensuring Children Grow Up at a Health Weight: How Connecticut Can Catch Up to Other States.” The issue brief and conversation highlight how Connecticut is lagging behind other states in childhood obesity rates and prevention policies, as well as progress that Connecticut state agencies have been making in those areas.
