Here are two resources for Connecticut families navigating special education for their children:

Connecticut State Department of Education’s Special Education Resource Hub

The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) provides information for parents, guardians and other family members about laws, regulations, and policies affecting special education programs and services, including a comprehensive guide for parents to help them navigate the special education system.

SPED Connecticut

SPED Connecticut is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization with a mission to increase awareness and understanding of children who learn differently and to secure appropriate educational services for this population in accordance with state and federal laws. They provide information, referrals, training, and when required, direct assistance to parents to help them advocate for their child’s needs.
